The deal, first disclosed on April 30, 2026, closed roughly six months after it was initially announced.
The newly branded Lazard CL unit is designed to serve clients across the full spectrum of private capital markets, combining Lazard's existing advisory reach with Campbell Lutyens' specialized fundraising and secondaries expertise. The merger signals Lazard's strategic intent to deepen its footprint in an asset class that has grown dramatically in institutional investor portfolios over the past decade.
